A PUB is set to reopen today after a staff member and customer tested positive for coronavirus over the weekend.
The Shears Inn, in Halifax Road, Liversedge, has been closed for three days after two positive cases of the COVID-19 virus emerged.
The pub - which normally opens at 4pm every weekday - announced on social media website, Facebook, on Monday, October 5, that it would be shut that day and "possibly" on Tuesday.
The post said: "Would like to let everyone know, The Shears will be closed Monday and possibly Tuesday as a member of staff and a customer that were in on Friday and Saturday have tested positive for Covid.
"We are closed to give staff time to get tested and to deep clean the pub.
"Sorry for any inconvenience caused, we will be back open as soon as is possible."
The T&A approached The Shears Inn for comment and it turned out the pub was also closed yesterday.
It confirmed it would reopen from 4pm today and had been waiting for test results to come back.
