A business listed in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 is taking part in Bradford Tech Week to highlight the opportunities that companies in the city have to offer.

CCS Media Ltd is one of the top technology solutions companies in the UK based in Bradford for the last 17 years, with a staff of more than 500, 16 offices in the UK and a turnover of £242 million.

Rob Omar, Academy Director, says: “CCS Media has been part of the Bradford business sector for many years, delivering technology solutions, products, services and organisations of every kind across the UK.

“We work with some of the world’s biggest brands, including HP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise in workspace, datacentre and networking.

“Now more than ever, technology is key, and its importance has been clearly demonstrated over the last few months with people having to work from home, schools, colleges and universities needing to provide remote learning for students.

“The role of technology in our lives is growing all the time and CCS Media is part of the ever-expanding technological shift.

“Our aim is to enable the individual success of our employees and customers, and also to work with local school and community groups to attract the talent that will take us into the future”.

The company established an in-house academy five years ago, with the key strategy to grow their own well-trained headcount organically. It offers a Level 4 Sales Executive apprenticeship, which is equivalent to foundation degree level.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

CCS Media Ltd, which is a Bradford Community Champion, has provided places for more than 100 apprentices to date, and sees working with local schools, colleges and community groups as pivotal to attracting talent.

Rob says: “Bradford has such a diverse and ambitious population, and we want to continue to recruit from this talent pool. In a growing company like ours we have opportunities in all areas of our business”.

“It is important to us to give back and offer genuine career opportunities to the people of Bradford. We want to let people know that there are rewarding and well-paid jobs in the tech industry, right here in our city”.

Bradford Tech Week starts on Monday, October 19, 2020. The aim is to bring the idea of tech as a career to the minds of school and college students across the district and to challenge them to think about how tech impacts on almost every business type.
