POLICE are reminding drivers to check the condition of their tyres after a vehicle was stopped in Skipton last night.
Inspector Paul Cording, of North Yorkshire Police, said that, "unbelievably", the driver hadn’t been involved in a collision, despite the state their tyres were in.
It comes amid Tyre Safety Month, which takes place in October, intended to coincide with a change in weather and driving conditions.
A full tweet from Paul Cording reads:
October is #TyreSafetyMonth when we remind drivers to check the condition of their tyres. This one was on a vehicle stopped by my @NYorksRPG colleague in #Skipton last night. Unbelievably the driver hasn’t been involved in a collision in the recent weather we’ve had #Reported pic.twitter.com/1raSxCivcX
