POLICE have said that an incident in which an 11-year-old girl was said to have been grabbed by masked men was a false report.
West Yorkshire Police said they launched 'extensive enquiries' into the "potentially suspicious incident" in Bramley.
A spokesperson said yesterday: "Officers received a report that, at around 2.45pm today, an 11-year-old girl had been approached by two men in a white van on Leeds and Bradford Road.
"The men are reported to have been wearing a ‘Scream’ and an ‘IT’ mask and shouted to the girl from the van window.
"They are then reported to have got out and grabbed the girl by the arm.
"The girl ran away in the direction of Pollard Lane and the van drove off."
The force today confirmed it was a false report.
