POLICE have issued an appeal after a man's foot was reportedly shot.
An investigation was sparked after a male turned up to hospital at 9.30pm on Tuesday evening with injuries to one foot which were consistent with a firearms discharge.
The injuries were not life-threatening, but he is still being treated.
Officers from the West Yorkshire Police's Homicide and Major Enquiry team have been conducting enquiries in the Glen Field Avenue area of Deighton, near Huddersfield, since Tuesday night.
The investigation into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
Anyone who has information, or who saw or heard suspicious behaviour in the Glen Field Avenue area between 9pm and 9.20pm on Tuesday, September 29, is asked to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 101, or use the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.
