TWO males threw away MMA gear, which was believed to be stolen, as they ran away from police.

Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) were chasing after two males in the early hours of this morning.

It was in the Greengates area of Bradford.

The males were suspects in relation to a theft from a motor vehicle and began discarding MMA equipment as they tried to make an escape from police.

They were eventually caught and arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.

They are both currently in police custody.

The MMA equipment was found around the Carrbottom Road area of Greengates.

It is believed to have come from a vehicle in the local area, according to a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson.
