A POWER CUT has left 40 homes without electricity this evening and it might not be back on until after 10pm.
Northern Power Grid revealed that 40 buildings in the Birkenshaw area (BD11) of Bradford are being affected by the unexpected outage tonight.
It was first reported at 6.59pm.
Houses off Cross Lane and Hodgson Lane have been impacted by the power cut, according to Northern Power Grid's website.
The energy supplier said power is expected to be restored by 10.15pm - more than three hours after the outage.
The power cut has been caused by an unexpected problem with the cables or equipment that serve the area.
Northern Power Grid's website states: "Our team are working hard to restore your power as quickly as possible."
