A MAN is due to appear in court this morning after being charged in connection with a shooting incident in Girlington.

Aadil Mahboob, 30, of Chellow Dene View, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court this morning.

At around 9.50pm on Friday, police received a report that a vehicle had been shot at while on Blythe Avenue.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The suspect, who was in a black Seat Leon, drove off from the scene. The vehicle was later recovered by officers.  

"No one was injured but the damage to the victim’s vehicle was found to be consistent with a firearms discharge.

"Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident, a 29-year-old female and two men aged 25 and 30.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with information should contact police using the 101 online chat service or by calling 101, quoting crime reference 13200482348. Information can also be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
