A DRIVER stopped by police immediately admitted to being banned and having no insurance, but they then tested positive for drugs.
West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team - the force's initiative dedicated to tackling anti-social and dangerous driving - stopped a silver Mondeo earlier this afternoon.
It was at roughly 1.47pm on Great Horton Road, in the Bradford West area.
The driver "immediately" told officers they had no insurance and were banned from driving.
Police then conducted a roadside drugs test on the driver.
They tested positive.
The vehicle was seized and the driver was arrested.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The driver of this Mondeo was stopped and immediately admitted having no insurance and being a banned driver.
"Unfortunately for them they also tested positive at the roadside for drugs.
"Vehicle seized and driver arrested."
