A DRIVER caught speeding at 120mph by police said they'd done so as they had diarrhoea.

West Yorkshire Police's Contact Management Centre shared the update this afternoon.

It's not known where the driver was caught, but the team tweeted: "Is there a legitimate reason why driving at 120mph would be acceptable?

"Having diarrhoea most certainly is not one - fortunately this driver was stopped by@WestYorksPolice before any kind of accident occurred."

They added: "Please don't drive if you are unwell. It might not be your life which is ruined. The driver called us on 101 to "log" his excuse before court..."
