ANOTHER Covid-19 related death has occurred in Bradford hospitals, taking the total number of deaths in the district to 358.

The figures, from NHS England, revealed that three people who tested positive for Covid-19 died in hospital yesterday, with one in Bradford.

The death took place at a Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust hospital.

It means the total death toll at hospitals in the district has risen to 358.

Of those 358 deaths, 247 have been reported by Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 109 by Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and two by Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

NHS England said this brings the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,687. The people who died yesterday were aged between 69 and 98-years-old and all had known underlying health conditions.

The other two deaths took place in London and in Salford. Another eight people died nationally between September 11 and 14, but none of these occurred in Bradford.

They occurred in London (September 11), in the Midlands, South Tees, and Southampton (September 12), and in Bedford, Kingston-upon-Hull, Stockport, and Warrington and Halton (September 13).
