WEST Yorkshire Police carried out a "day of action" in Queensbury on Sunday, in an attempt to clamp down on crime in the area.
On 13 September, officers from Bradford South NPT (Neighbourhood Policing Team) were at both the Tesco and Co-op stores in Queensbury, between 10am and 8pm, speaking to "numerous members of the public" in regards to "local issues and concerns."
Police said that a number of issues were raised, including drug dealing and anti-social behaviour, with police planning "increased patrols and intelligence gathering" over the coming days and weeks in light of this.
A speed watch was also carried out on Brighouse Road as part of the 'day of action', as 42 vehicles were seen to be exceeding the speed limit.
The drivers were issued awareness letters as a result.
"A number of vehicles" were also "dealt with", police say, for document offences, while one vehicle was also seized for having no insurance.
