THERE has been some dramatic late changes to the Yorkshire team for tonight's Vitality Blast clash with Lancashire at Emerald Headingley, with skipper David Willey among four players withdrawn from the squad in accordance with Covid-19 guidance.

Also having to sit the game out are previous stand-in skipper Tom Kohler-Cadmore, all-rounder Matthew Fisher and leg-spinner Josh Poysden.

Yorkshire announced the news on Twitter at 6pm, saying: "Matthew Fisher, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Josh Poysden and David Willey have been withdrawn from tonight’s squad in accordance with COVID guidance.

"The club are awaiting results of a COVID test which will determine future availability."

The game is still going ahead. Adam Lyth is now tonight's skipper, while Dawid Malan, who starred in England's recent international T20s against Pakistan and Australia, returns to the Yorkshire side.

There is also a debut first team appearance for 19-year-old batsman James Wharton.
