A BRADFORD pensioner has admitted to three counts of sexually assaulting a girl earlier this year.

David Magee, of Pemberton Drive, Shearbridge, appeared at Bradford Crown Court via a video link for the hearing, which was held yesterday.

The 65-year-old who was dressed all in grey and had a scruffy, unkempt beard and hair, sat holding his walking stick throughout the hearing.

He admitted to three counts of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13 this year. Covering three separate incidents, one of the assaults took place in a local take-away restaurant, the court was told.

He also pleaded not guilty to a fourth count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Chloe Hudson, prosecuting, said the pleas were acceptable and it would proceed with the case on the first three counts.

Judge Richard Mansell QC, the Recorder of Bradford, told Magee the case was being adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

It was decided that Magee and would be sentenced on October 30 this year at Bradford Crown Court. Magee was remanded into custody until the hearing.
