The HELP Appeal, a charity dedicated to funding NHS hospital helipads, is informing residents in Airedale and across Yorkshire, they will have fundraisers calling at homes between now and Christmas to ask if they would be interested in signing up to its lottery for £1 a week.
The funds raised will be used to help build new, lifesaving helipads at Airedale General Hospital, Sheffield Children’s Hospital and and Scarborough General Hospital.
Robert Bertram, Chief Executive of the HELP Appeal, said: “Fundraising activities are absolutely vital to the lifesaving work of the HELP Appeal, as we don’t receive a penny from the Government or National Lottery.
“Thanks to our lottery supporters we have been able to help save the lives of many critically ill patients.”
