OUR furry friends mean a lot to us, and over lockdown we’ve spent even more time with them.

T&A readers have been sending some lovely pet pics. Here we showcase Ada the “diva” Airedale Terrier and the splendid Silver, a half Bengal/half Russian Blue cat.

Simon Sugden, owner of Silver, (above) says: "She's my little girl Jennie's best friend. Silver, who is three, has been seen loads in East Riddlesden Hall grounds - they even posted pictures of her on their Facebook page."

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Meet Ada, the Airedale Terrier. Owner Kev Davies of Sutton in Craven says:" Ava means everything to us. She's an intuitive animal and has been a massive comfort during recent trying times. Ada is a diva. She chases a ball in the house sometimes - when she can't reach she stands and barks, looking back at you. You then have to move the furniture or retrieve it for her.

Her favourite sleeping position is flat on her back with her legs in the air - looks truly uncomfortable!"

We also feature three cats up for adoption at Yorkshire Cat Rescue - Flash, Milly and Bella. Email@yorkshirecatrescue.org or call (01535) 647184.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Bella has the spirit of a kitten and enjoys attention. She would need a home with no other children or pets, and an understanding owner who has had cats before and can give her the time and patience to settle in.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

One-year-old female Flash came to YCR with kittens. She's described as "very sweet and loves strokes and headbumps".

She can be a little unsure of children so would be better living with adults

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Milly is gorgeous...and she knows it. She's "super sweet" but frightened by children so needs a quiet home as an only cat with a patient, understanding owner
