OVER the summer, green-fingered Telegraph & Argus readers have been sharing photos of their gardens in bloom.

From tubs and hanging baskets to trees, shrubs and wildlife havens, the pictures have reflected how much you love to be in your outdoor space - and how much this has meant to you in lockdown. "My garden is my place of peace," says one reader.

Here we present a selection of readers' photos, from urban gardens to a moorside enclave.

Above is Sonja Kielty's Haworth garden, which she has transformed over six years, planting indigenous trees which attract wildlife.

Pictures is her cat, BC, enjoying the sunshine. “He’s our big Haworth Tom,” says Sonja.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Says Sonja: “Six years on I can’t believe how much the trees have grown. All as indigenous as possible for the birds and bees. As well as the trees we planted lots of shrubs. Gardens have been a massive morale booster in lockdown. This is our private, leafy enclave on the moors.”

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Mussarat Rahman's East Bowling garden has a variety of flowers as well as tomatoes, green beans and herbs.

"It's like a social hub, people love my garden, complimenting my plants, stopping for a chat, giving me cuttings. I experiment with different plants."

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

John Kay's Bradford garden is filled with pretty tubs and window boxes.

Says John: "I enjoy my garden because it reminds me of my mother. She taught me how to do hanging baskets and tubs. I'm proud of my garden and try to make it as bright and beautiful as possible."

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Adds John: "Although I can only do things sat down now as I am disabled, my garden is my pride and joy.

"I keep telling myself not to next year but I push myself because some of my neighbours encourage me to do it."

Simon Sugden loves being in his Riddlesden garden, and has sent us several lovely photos.

Here he captures the tranquility of water lilies resting on a pond.
