THE Lord Mayor of Bradford used the first full meeting of Bradford Council since the pandemic to thank key workers.
Councillor Doreen Lee opened Tuesday’s online full Council meeting by saying: “A thank you from the bottom of my heart goes to every single person in the Bradford area, doctors, nurses, cleaners, bin men, office staff, shop keepers - anyone who has been out there helping. You have done an amazing job, and I, for one, am extremely proud of all of you.

“Condolences go out to the families of of everyone who has lost their lives to the virus, with is over 500 people in the Bradford District.”
She urged Councillors to set an example to the public to help stop the spread of the virus, saying: "Go out and spread the word. Make sure you are wearing masks when you're out in public - we should lead by example."
