THERE has been no new reported direct deaths from coronavirus at ANY hospitals in Yorkshire and the Humber.

NHS England announced in today's update that there were no further direct deaths reported from the COVID-19 virus at hospitals in the Bradford district.

It is now two days since the last new reported direct death from the virus at any of Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI), Airedale General Hospital or Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

This was after yesterday's update, which confirmed there were no new reported direct deaths from coronavirus at any of the above hospitals.

The total direct death toll at hospitals in the Bradford district remains at 352 today - 241 at BRI, 109 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

There were an extra eight direct deaths reported today across England, taking the total number of confirmed reported direct deaths in hospitals in the country to 29,619.

Four of the deaths were at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, with two at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust (both Trusts are in the North West).

There was one death at each of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (North East and Yorkshire) and West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust (East of England).

Patients in today's update were aged between 43 and 92-years-old. 

All patients had underlying health conditions.

The dates of the deaths ranges from Saturday, September 5, to Monday, September 7, with the majority on or after Sunday, September 6.

Their families have been informed.

The update also included three hospital deaths where a positive test result for COVID-19 was not received, but COVID-19 is mentioned on their death certificate.

Two of these were in the North East and Yorkshire, with one in the South East.
