The jury in the Jankee Jaimungal murder trial is due to retire to consider its verdict.
The judge, Mrs Justice Swift, spent today summing up the case to the jury at Leeds Crown Court after a 13-day trial.
Leeann Lamb, 21, her boyfriend Jonathon Langley, 22, both of Prospect Road, Heckmondwike, and 46-year-old Ian Trafford all deny murdering 72-year-old Mr Jaimungal at Trafford's flat in Staincliffe, Batley, on March 20 this year.
The prosecution claims the three defendants were all involved in the fatal attack. Nicholas Campbell, QC, alleges they left their victim for dead while they went to buy alcohol and then conspired to tell lies to cover up what they had done.
Mr Jaimungal lost consciousness and drowned in his own blood after receiving repeated and forceful blows to the head, face and neck consistent with punching, kicking, stamping and the possible use of a weapon.
The defendants all blame their co-accused for causing the fatal injuries.
