WORK is continuing to create a new entrance to the Farmfoods store in Greengates.
The work is one part of a major project to improve the Greengates junction.
The £12.3 million road improvement scheme began in late July, and work is expected to last until next Summer.
Work to create a new “P loop” junction, that will allow traffic on Harrogate Road to avoid the junction by passing through the one way link starting opposite Aldo’s Italian and coming out on New Line, has made up the bulk of work so far.
£16m plan to improve 'key corridor for growth' to progress
Over the next two weeks workers will continue to create a new entrance to the Farmfoods store on the junction.
These works will include some service diversion and adjustment works undertaken by the utility companies, which will then allow contractors to complete surfacing.
