THE Vodafone store in the The Broadway shopping centre has been temporarily closed this week after a member of staff tested positive for coronavirus.
The rest of the staff are now self-isolating, Vodafone confirmed, while the store has also been deep-cleaned.
It is expected to re-open again on Sunday.
A Vodafone spokesperson said: “We have temporarily closed our Broadway shopping centre store as one of our colleagues has tested positive for COVID-19.
"He and the rest of the team are now self-isolating for 14 days and we have deep-cleaned the store, which will re-open on Sunday 6 September."
Ian Ward, General Manager at The Broadway, said: “The Vodafone store in The Broadway has temporarily closed as a member of its staff has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).
"It is our understanding that Vodafone has put all the essential precautions in place in order to adhere to government guidance and maintain our high standards of customer welfare.
“The health and safety of all staff and customers continues to be of utmost importance and we will implement all necessary measures to ensure this.”
