PLANS to build housing on an area of brownfield land off Wakefield Road have been submitted to Bradford Council.

Earlier this year an application to build an industrial unit on land off Back Irwell Street were submitted to Bradford Council.

However, they were later withdrawn after highways officers raised serious concerns over how industrial vehicles would access the site on a regular basis.

Now a new application for the land has been submitted to the Council by a Mr Rehmen.

Plans for large industrial building are approved

The application is for four, four-bedroom houses to be built on the plot of land, which is surrounded on three sides by housing.

There would also be eight car parking spaces.

A decision on the application is expected late next month.
