BRADFORD has been ranked as the second least active UK town or city, according to a new study.

Future Fit Training has ranked 30 UK towns or cities on its number of gyms, tennis courts, swimming pools, number of fitness-related Google searches and the percentage of the population who are physically active.

They also looked at their internal data to see which areas have seen the most (and least) people training to become personal trainers with Future Fit Training.

Bradford ranked second in the top 10 least active cities and in 29th place overall, with an overall score of 24.87, 611 fitness-related searches per 100,000 people and only 62.4 per cent of the adult population being physically active.

Bradford has 89 gyms, 12 tennis courts and 10 swimming pools, according to the research.
