A FIRE broke out at the Heckmondwike Morrisons store this afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the scene just before 3pm.
It's understood shoppers were evacuated and the store has been closed for the remainder of the day.
A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Our control room was called at 2.56pm today, to reports of a fire in a commercial premises on Union Street in Heckmondwike.
"Three fire engines attended – two from Dewsbury Fire Station and one from Morley Fire Station.
"Crews used a Co2 extinguisher to put the fire out.
"No one was injured and the fire did not spread.
"Crews left at 3.44pm."
