MEET more beautiful babies who have been born in the district during lockdown.

We have been asking parents to send us pictures of their new arrivals - and we’ve been thrilled with the response.

These cuties are bringing a ray of sunshine to their families right now and here we are delighted to share their lovely pictures, as

part of our regular series focussing on lockdown newborns.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Austin George Hawkins, born at BRI on July 20, 7lb 2oz, to Vickie Hawkins and Martin Welsh of Wibsey. A brother for Charlie Hawkins. Says Vickie: “Austin was born on the 20th after being induced on the 19th. Almost born on Daddy’s birthday. Giving birth during a pandemic was really intimidating but the very supportive team on the labour ward and the specialist mental health midwife made sure Mummy was well taken care of.”

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Minnie rose Holdsworth, born on May 25, 6lb 6oz, to Heather Jackson and Ryan Holdsworth of Wibsey. A sister for Logan, Isabelle and Bobby. “After a miscarriage we were blessed with our pregnancy, then the lockdown hit us! We were booked to have a C-section but our girl couldn’t wait. She came 14 minutes after arriving at hospital. Our rainbow baby.”

It has been, and continues to be, a difficult time to have a baby. Because of restrictions still in place due to the coronavirus pandemic, many mums are having to go into hospital alone, without their partners, and some have had to go through the birth process without a loved one at their side.

And many of their family and friends will have an agonising wait until they can have their first glimpse and cuddle of the new arrivals.

But it’s also a special time to be born - and we hope these delightful picture galleries will become treasured keepsakes for families in

the Bradford district.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Jaiden-Jack Victor was born at BRI on March 19, weighing 10lb 6oz, to Shannon Sands and Jordan Victor of Wibsey. A little brother for Toni-Mae Victor. The pair are pictured having fun together.

Proud mum Shannon tells us: “I went into labour at 10.57am and had my beautiful boy at 12.57pm.

“I couldn’t have asked for better midwives to deliver my baby boy.”

If you’ve had a baby in lockdown, the Telegraph & Argus would love to share your happy news.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Vinnie Brian Difiori, born at BRI on July 3, 6lb 11oz, to Alice Noble and Brian Difiori of Eccleshill. A little brother for Eric Brian. The pair are pictured sleeping peacefully together.

Says Alice: “A few days early, 20-ish hours of labour with Dadda thankfully by outside for the majority. Everything made as ‘normal’ as possible. Dadda leaving us for the night time stay was sad, but all the staff/midwives were amazing. I can’t thank the midwives and student midwife enough for our lockdown bundle of joy!”

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

Reggie Stephen Peter Wilby, born at Pinderfields on May 4, 7lb 4oz, to Leah Anstiss of Wakefield. A brother for Tommy Gledhill Reynard. Says Leah: “Reggie was born five days, early planned C-section due to a complication with his brother in 2013. Even though it was a horrible and a different kind of environment giving birth due to Covid-19, I cannot fault the staff at Pinderfields who took care of us, they were amazing.”
