Proposals to make better use of Cleckheaton Town Hall and open it up for more community activities and involvement will be presented to Kirklees Council's local area committees for discussion in the next few weeks.
The report follows a major consultation to find out local people's views on the use of their town halls in north Kirklees.
The consultations were led by two council Cabinet members - Councillors Andrew Palfreeman, pictured, and Liz Smaje, who both represent Birstall and Birkenshaw ward for the Conservatives.
Coun Palfreeman said: "Cleckheaton is already a very well used town hall in terms of a developed programme and facilities.
"Improving access to services and developing an information centre were additional issues to the general ones raised for all three buildings.
"The results of the consultations, and the list of potential proposals will now do the rounds of the area committees before coming back to the Cabinet early next year for more detailed consideration."
