New youth forums in Keighley will give teenagers greater influence in major decisions affecting the town.
They can air their views on issues such as education, housing, transport, crime, the environment and the local economy.
This will affect the delivery of services, and decisions by Bradford Council's Keighley Area Committee.
A forum is likely to be set up in each of Keighley's five district council wards and the area committee has given £6,000 to fund the meetings.
The committee has budgets for issues including transport, recreation and the environment, and has an input into wider council decisions.
Members particularly wanted to hear about youngsters who took an interest in what was going on in their own communities.
