Pupils from St John's C of E Primary in Bierley, Bradford, turned back the clock during a visit to City Hall.
The school was invited to attend an open day hosted by current Lord Mayor, Coun Robin Owens.
And as this year marks the centenary of the city being awarded Lord Mayoral status, as well as the 150th anniversary of St John's, youngsters dressed in Victorian costume.
A school spokesman said: "We had children dressed-up as ragamuffins, maids, chimney sweeps and Lords of the Manor. The children loved it."
