A MAN has been taken to hospital this morning after being found unconscious on Leeds Road.
The male was found at around 9.30am this morning passed out on a bench, police say.
A passer-by said there was a police presence at the scene - believed to be close to Hussain Stores, at the bottom of Greenhill Street - with an ambulance, two police officers guarding the scene, two police cars and a police cordon in place.
A spokesperson from West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to a report of a concern for safety for a male at around 9.30am this morning.
"The male was found unconscious on a bench on Leeds Road and has been taken to hospital.
"Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances."
