SHIPLEY’S Philip Davies has been nominated for an MP of the year award.
Mr Davies has been shortlisted for the Patchwork Foundation’s People’s Choice MP of the Year prize.
He will be vying for the public vote to determine if he is crowned the winner of the category.

The 48-year-old was first elected as Shipley’s MP in the 2005 General Election. He won a majority of 422 votes, defeating the Labour MP and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Constitutional Affairs Chris Leslie.
People can vote up until midnight on August 30 for the MP of the year prize.
