THERE have been zero COVID-19-related deaths reported by hospitals in the Bradford district for the 11th day in a row, according to today's NHS England figures.

The last day any new deaths were reported at a hospital in the district was on Monday, August 3.

There were two new reported coronavirus deaths on that day, both of which were at BRI.

They happened on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2.

NHS England announced in today's update that there were no further deaths reported from the COVID-19 virus at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI), Airedale General Hospital or Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

It means the total death toll at hospitals in the Bradford district remains at 347 - 236 at BRI, 109 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Nationally, a further 8 people, who tested positive for coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 29,452.

No deaths were recorded today in the North East and Yorkshire region, the data shows.

Patients were aged between 75 and 90 years old. All had known underlying health conditions.

Their families have been informed.
