DRIVE-IN and walk-in mobile testing units will be in place in the Bradford District over the coming days to make it easier for local people who think they might be infected with Covid-19 to get tested quickly.

Bradford residents can now also book appointments at Pudsey Civic Centre following Leeds City Council's decision to host a site there.

People are advised to make an appointment before they arrive at the mobile unit, which are run by national coronavirus testing programme staff.

The units are available for anyone who has symptoms of Covid-19, such as a high temperature, a new cough, or a change in sense of taste or smell, or thinks they may have the virus.

A face covering will need to be worn, and social distancing must also be followed at all times, when at the site and while travelling to and from it.

Bradford District’s first walk-in testing centre in Centenary Square in the city centre is still open. You can pre-book an appointment or there are a limited number of drop-in tests and results should be made available within 24-72 hours.

If you would like a test, please make sure you book appointment before arriving either by calling 119 or going online at https://www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test. Available booking times are available on the site.
