There are so many beautiful animals up for adoption near Bradford- and they could be yours.

If you are looking to rehome a dog or cat, then there could be an animal on this list for you to love.

However, you need to remember that an animal is for life and not just for lockdown- you need to make sure you're capable of looking after an animal so they don't end up back in the shelter.

A spokesperson for the RSPCA told The Telegraph and Argus: “There are so many advantages to rehoming a pet rather than buying one, they are by no means a second choice option, in fact it’s a really sensible choice.

”We would always encourage people to rehome animals from rescue centres instead of buying them - there are always lots of animals of different species looking for homes.”

All of these gorgeous animals can be found at the Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford & District Branch.

Also known as ‘Big Max’, this loving pooch is looking for an owner who can train him.

However, he is an incredibly intelligent dog with a great nose- he could excel in tracking and scenting.

He is a large dog with a lot of energy to burn- so he will need a  lot of long walks with an owner who is physically capable of handling his size.

Max is still a little wary of other dogs and is still learning his manners around them

Due to his size and playful nature, it’s not recommended that he goes to a home with small children or one with cats.

This gorgeous cat was put up for adoption after the previous owners had a baby and Milli didn’t adapt well.

She is very affectionate- but does have a feisty side too.

Her new owners will need to gain her trust with a “hands off” approach while looking after her.

Milli is best suited to an adult only household- but could live with teenagers if they are sensible. She also needs to be the only pet in the home.
