Year Seven pupils at Hanson School have been designing cotton bags to sell at the school's eco fair.

Alex Crisp created the winning design with the help of the school's resident designer, Chris Nicholl.

The bags will be on sale for £1 at the environmentally-aware fair tomorrow between 3pm and 6.30pm.

The fair has been set up at the school to support Enterprise learning across the curriculum as well as launching the sustainability agenda at the school.

The stalls, which will be run by students, primary schools, police, and businesses, include Fairtrade products, recycled copper jewellery, healthy smoothies, handmade cards and student-built clocks.

There will also be an animation created by students on a subject related to sustainability and rap music performed by Year Seven students.

There will be displays on the greenhouse effect, some alternative education projects and human rights.

Bradford Council's environment education officer will be there with various interactive activities and possibly the recycling robot to raise awareness about climate change.

For those on foot entry is free, 50p to those in
