BRADFORD Council and West Yorkshire Police have announced a temporary closure of the suspension bridge at Denton Road.

This will be in force from tomorrow (August 7) through until Sunday.

A Council spokesperson said: "The weather forecast is good and the riverside is likely to attract high visitor numbers.

"As part of a proactive campaign to address issues of anti-social behaviour and respond to resident concern, the bridge will be temporarily closed.

"Visitors are welcome to enjoy the area but we do ask that they act responsibly, observe requirements around social distancing and behave considerately by disposing of their litter correctly. Large volume bins are positioned throughout the park at most entry/exit points.

"We thank local residents for their patience and understanding as we seek to maintain a safe environment and encourage the respectful use of the area."
