Queuing traffic on the M62
TRAFFIC queues of more than six miles are backing up on the M62 following a crash on the motorway.
The crash, on the westbound carriageway between Junction 27 for Gildersome and Junction 26 for Chain Bar and has closed the outside lane.
Traffic is snaking back all the way to M1 interchange at Lofthouse, with journeys expected to be delayed by at least half an hour.
Traffic officers from Highways Englands and West Yorkshire Police are at the scene dealing with the collision, which is expected to be cleared by 5.15pm, with traffic conditions going back to normal by 6pm.
