POLICE have found an abandoned car containing what appear to be stolen packets of meat, following a pursuit from Skipton to Keighley.
Police were pursuing the vehicle on Monday, when it was then abandoned off-road.
Andrew Ingram, of North Yorkshire Police, said it appeared as though the driver had "just done a theft" in a tweet he posted, which was accompanied by photos showing 14 packets of Co-op meat laid out on the vehicle, and some pliers nearby.
The full tweet reads:
Pursuit from #skipton to #keighley and vehicle abandoned off road. Looks like just done a theft! Thanks to @WYP_PcGray and @WestYorksPolice and my @NYorksRPG colleagues turning out to assist. Nice of driver to leave us some clues! 😉 pic.twitter.com/K5wN7Re6sO
