A DRIVER fitted emergency lighting to their grill and used them to stop members of the public yesterday.

Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Unit stoped a silver Vauxhall on Manchester Road, in Bradford, on Saturday.

The driver had installed four flashing lights on their front grill.

They were using them to stop members of the public, as if they were an emergency worker.

Police reported the driver to court.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "This driver thought it would be a good idea to fit emergency lighting to their grill and use them to stop members of public.

"Reported to court."
