POLICE are investigating after a car – believed to have been stolen – was dumped and set alight near Oxenhope.
A crew from Keighley Fire Station was called out at 5.30am today to deal with the burning vehicle, in Hill House Edge Lane.
The car was burnt out and firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel to extinguish the blaze.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 5:13 this morning to reports of a car fire on Hill House Edge Lane, Oxenhope.
"Fire service and police attended. The car was a silver Chrysler.
"Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area or has any further information is asked to contact the police via 101 quoting log number 234 of 30 July."
