DETECTIVES investigating the attempted murder of a man in Bradford have made another arrest overnight.

On April 23 this year, a man in his 40s was assaulted by a number of males with weapons on Lower Westfield Road.

The suspects fled the scene in a silver VW Passat.

The victim of the incident suffered a serious head injury as a result of the violent assault and has life changing injuries.

Last night (22 July), officers arrested a 20-year-old man from Shipley. A total of five men, all from Bradford, have been arrested and released under investigation in connection with this incident.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Farrell, said: “We are continuing to investigate this serious assault, which left a man with life changing injuries

“Following our enquiries, we have made a number of arrests, including the one last night, but we are still looking to trace another individual involved.

“I would urge people in the local community to come forward with any information, which may prove vital to our investigation.

“We are working tirelessly to bring the perpetrators to justice for a vicious assault on the victim.”
