A BRADFORD headteacher has expressed his joy as his ambitious fundraiser hits a £5000 milestone.

Paul Urry, head at St. Stephen’s Church of England Primary School, has launched a £100,000 fundraising page to end the digital divide in Bradford and make home learning more accessible.

The funds will also go towards free online learning resources for Bradford children and a child-safe internet connection.

After launching three weeks ago, hundreds of Bradfordians have rallied round to support the cause with one anonymous supporter sending £1,000.

Mr Urry told the Telegraph & Argus: "We are pleased with the huge response to this appeal already. Every donation will have a positive impact on the life opportunities to all our pupils and all wishing to access home learning resources."
