THREE men and a woman accused of murdering Bradford father of two Paul Akroyd will be tried by a High Court Judge in a case now due to begin on January 18.
Alex Bates, 18, of Eastfield Gardens, Holme Wood, Bradford; Rashpal Singh Gill, 40, of Leeds Road, Bradford; Mohammed Jawaid Khan, 52, of Leylands Lane, Heaton, Bradford; and Kirsty Rushworth, 31, of Walker Avenue, Lidget Green, Bradford, were due to be tried at Bradford Crown Court on July 6.
But the Covid-19 lockdown has suspended all major trials and today the four-week case was rescheduled by Judge Jonathan Rose to start in the New Year.
Mr Ackroyd, 37, a father of two, was found with head injuries in Jinnah Court, Manningham, Bradford, on February 23 last year and died in hospital a short time later.
