The Methodist women of West Yorkshire have put a book together to mark the 20th birthday their network.

When We Were 20 is a collection of memories from members of the Methodist Women's Network covering all aspects of life from love, marriage and babies to wartime restrictions.

West Yorkshire District's President Katharine Cheney said: "People were asked to write a short piece reflecting on the year they were 20. Our writers ranged in age from 28 to 98, covering 1929 to 2006.

"It gives a lovely slice of our history as we have travelled in time from the age of horse power to the computer age."

It costs £2 in person or £3 by post and is available either from the Network at 11 Regent Road in Skipton or from Touchstone at 32 Merton Road, Bradford.
