Eight teenagers have been baptised by the Bishop of Bradford in a birthing pool.
The Right Reverend David James performed the ceremony at Holy Trinity Church in Idle.
The young people, aged between 13 and 17, of Idle, became Christians in the last two years through the work of Church Army skate-boarding evangelist Andy Milne.
They had planned to be baptised in the River Wharfe alongside Bolton Abbey two months ago, but the height of the water meant it was too dangerous.
Newly baptised Matty Ambrose, 15, a pupil at Immanuel Community College in Thackley, said: "There was a real buzz and excitement about the evening, and the pool was a lot warmer than the River Wharfe.
"People seem to think religion's just about going to church, but it's a lot more than that and you can have just as much fun."
