POLICE have arrested two people, who hid inside a shop in an attempt to escape officers, after a car was stolen in Bradford.
A car was spotted by officers in Huddersfield, it was reported yesterday, and then immediately drove off.
The Nissan Note had been stolen from Bradford a week ago, police say.
The occupants of the vehicle abandoned it in a car park, fleeing on foot, and tried to hide in a nearby shop.
Both occupants were detained and arrested, and were also arrested for a recent shoplifting offence.
The vehicle has been recovered.
