A NEW cafe specialising in African food has opened in Oastler Market.
New social distancing new measures have not deterred Andile Mncube, owner of African Kitchen that opened their doors to the public last week.
Andie has specialised in authentic African cuisine for over eight years and cooks traditional dishes including plantain, jollof rice and egusi which is a traditional Nigerian soup cooked with meat.
The kitchen offers a wide range of vegetarian and halal options. The shop is currently open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 4pm.

Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, Planning and Transport, said: “We are very pleased to welcome a hot food outlet to the market that complements our existing hot food offer. The market already boasts a diverse range of foods from all over the world and now this includes African foods.
