TRAVELODGE has kick-started its official hotel reopening programme by opening 68 of its hotels across the country, but its Bradford district branches have not been included.

The hotel chain that operates 573 hotels across the UK will then start to reopen 100 hotels per week.

But Travelodge sites at Bradford Central (Valley Road); Midpoint, Dick Lane in Thornbury; Leeds Bradford Airport at Yeadon and Bradford Road in Keighley will remain temporarily closed following the initial reopenings across the country.

A Travelodge spokesperson said: "Our hotels in Bradford will be opening very soon.

"They have definitely not been missed off our list for the near future - we value our hotels in Bradford hugely and we are looking forward to opening the doors to our customers in Bradford and those travelling to Bradford very soon."

During the lockdown, Travelodge kept 62 hotels open across the UK from Plymouth to Aberdeen to support key/critical workers, less vulnerable groups and local authorities.
