A CAR with "considerable damage", after a crash with a tree and a parked vehicle, sped off from the scene and was nearly in collision with another vehicle.

West Yorkshire Police has now issued an appeal following the incident which happened on Wrose Road, in Bradford, on Saturday, July 4.

The crash occurred at around 5.30pm.

A silver-coloured car was travelling down the road when it was in collision with a tree and a parked car, near the road's junction with Carr Lane and Gaisby Lane.

Both the silver-coloured car and the parked vehicle were left with "considerable damage", according to a West Yorkshire Polcie spokesperson.

The silver-coloured car failed to stop at the scene and no further details are known about it.

It left the scene at speed and was nearly in collision with another vehicle, according to the West Yokshire Police spokesperson.

Any witnesses to the incident – especially the manner the vehicle was being driven in prior to the collisions, the identity of the vehicle and its current location - are asked to call police on 101, or use the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.
