A TAXI rank in the town centre is set to be turned into a takeaway.
Crown Cars’ former booking office on Academy Way, which has been vacant since April this year, will become a hot dog stand under an application for planning permission submitted to Warrington Borough Council.
Willie Wurst Ltd, which is described in submission documents as an ‘internationally known food brand’ will move into the site.
The building was previously granted planning permission to be used as a takeaway in 2003, having been a public toilet before then.
And the plot is sandwiched by fast food outlets on either side.
It is anticipated that two part-time jobs will be created by the scheme.
